# Soneka Cookie Policy — First-Party Cookies Explained

> What cookies Soneka sets, why, and how to control them. Covers essential, functional, and anonymised analytics cookies. No advertising networks are used.

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser that help websites remember information about your visit. This policy explains exactly which cookies Soneka uses, what each one does, and how you can control them. Soneka uses **first-party cookies only** — we do not work with any advertising networks or third-party tracking services. This policy was last updated on **March 14, 2026**.

## Types of Cookies We Use

### Essential Cookies

These cookies are required for Soneka to function. They cannot be disabled because without them you would not be able to log in or use the platform securely.

### Functional Cookies

These cookies improve your experience by remembering preferences and UI state. They are not strictly required, and you can opt out of them.

### Analytics Cookies

We use **first-party, anonymised analytics** to understand how people use Soneka so we can improve it. We do not use Google Analytics or any advertising-based analytics platform.

  Both tools are configured to:

  * Store data on **EU-based servers**
  * Collect **no personally identifiable information**
  * Honour **Do Not Track (DNT)** browser signals — if your browser sends a DNT header, these cookies will not be set

## No Advertising Cookies

  Soneka does **not** use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any third-party tracking technologies. We will never serve you ads based on your Soneka usage, and we do not share behavioural data with advertising networks.

## How to Control Cookies

You have two ways to manage cookies on Soneka:

**1. Cookie banner** — When you first visit the Soneka web app, a cookie banner will appear. You can accept all cookies, accept essential cookies only, or customise your preferences. You can revisit these settings at any time from the footer of the login page.
